Copy Tracking Tool | Creshy Forensics

Creshy Forensic Tracker

ANTI-LEAK PROTOCOL

READY FOR SEQUENCING

Introduction

When sensitive information is leaked, the biggest challenge is identifying the source. Our PDF Copy Tracking Tool allows you to move from passive security to active accountability. By embedding unique, nearly invisible “Forensic Fingerprints” into each copy of a document, you can trace exactly which recipient leaked a file. Whether you are a business owner in Karachi protecting a private merger proposal or a lead developer at DIHOD Software House securing proprietary technical specs, this tool provides the “Digital DNA” you need. As part of our milestone of over 500 digital tools on Creshy, we offer this premium security utility to help you maintain a clear chain of custody.

What is this Tool?

This is a specialized document forensic utility that utilizes Steganographic Metadata and Micro-Watermarking. Instead of a visible stamp, it injects unique identifiers into the PDF’s internal code structure or subtly alters character spacing (kerning) in a way that is invisible to the naked eye but easily detectable by our scanner. To ensure your absolute privacy, all fingerprinting is performed locally in your browser; your sensitive documents and recipient lists are never uploaded to our servers.

Why Use This Tool?

Standard watermarks can be cropped or blurred out. Forensic tracking is embedded into the very fabric of the document, making it much harder to remove without destroying the file itself.

Common Problems Solved

  • Internal Data Leaks: Identify which employee or contractor shared a “Confidential” PDF with unauthorized third parties.
  • Unauthorized Reselling: Trace “leaked” digital products, courses, or e-books back to the original purchaser’s account.
  • Proof of Origin: Provide undeniable evidence in legal disputes regarding the unauthorized distribution of intellectual property.

Features & Benefits

Key Features

  • Invisible Forensic Marking: Embed unique IDs that don’t distract from the reading experience.
  • Recipient Batch Generation: Generate 10, 50, or 100 unique copies of a single PDF, each tagged to a different person.
  • Metadata Shielding: Encrypt the tracking ID within the PDF’s “XMP Metadata” for an extra layer of hidden security.
  • Instant Local Processing: No server-side waiting; “Fingerprint” your document batches in seconds using your device’s local power.

Benefits for You

  • Psychological Deterrent: When recipients know a document is “Tracked & Traced,” they are significantly less likely to share it.
  • Total Privacy Guarantee: Your original master files stay on your machineβ€”safe from data leaks or unauthorized access.
  • Zero Cost: Access premium document-forensics technology for free, powered by Creshy Group.

How to Use: Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Upload Your Master PDF: Click “Choose File” or drag your document into the tracking zone.
  2. Enter Recipient List: Type the names or ID numbers of the people receiving the file (e.g., Client_A, Employee_04).
  3. Select Tracking Method: Choose between Invisible Metadata or Micro-Kerning (spacing) shifts.
  4. Generate Batch: Click “Create Tracked Copies.” The tool will generate a unique PDF for each person on your list.
  5. Download & Distribute: Save the ZIP file containing all tracked versions. Keep your “Tracking Log” to match IDs back to names later.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Can a user find and delete the tracking ID? A: Most users will never know it’s there. Our tool uses multiple layers of identification, some in the code and some in the visual layout, making it extremely difficult to fully “clean” a document.

Q: Does this work if the user takes a screenshot? A: If you use the Micro-Kerning feature, the unique spacing of characters can often be analyzed even from a high-resolution screenshot to identify the source.

Q: Is there a limit to how many copies I can track? A: No. You can generate as many unique versions as your computer’s memory can handle.

Found an Issue? Let Us Know!

Advanced forensic marking can sometimes be affected by PDF “Flattening” or “OCR” processing.
