Technical Tool Overview: Seasonal Outfit Planner

The Seasonal Outfit Planner functions on Thermal Comfort Theory. It maps ambient temperature and humidity against fabric breathability (measured in air permeability) and weight (GSM).

Functional Logic & Architecture

  • Temperature Brackets: The logic uses specific Celsius thresholds common in South Asian and Mediterranean climates:
    • 35°C+ (Extreme Summer): Triggers a “Lawn/Voile” recommendation. Any fabric over 100 GSM is flagged as uncomfortable.
    • 15°C – 24°C (Transition): Recommends Karandi or Jacquard, which provide a balance of structured drape and light warmth.
    • Below 15°C (Winter): Focuses on Khaddar and Velvet, which have high thermal resistance ($R_{ct}$).
  • Humidity Multiplier: Humidity changes “Perceived Temperature.” If humidity is high, the tool prioritizes open-weave fabrics to allow for evaporative cooling.
  • Activity Adjustment: For active users, the tool suggests lighter versions of seasonal fabrics to prevent overheating.

Features & Capabilities

  • Dynamic Tag System: Generates a list of specific fabric and accessory types based on the weather profile.
  • Visual Density (4px): Uses high-density inputs for a professional “dashboard” feel, suitable for integration into the DIHOD Software House retail apps.
  • Inventory Alignment: This logic can be linked to a store’s backend to show only “In-Stock” items that match the current weather.

Industry Use Cases

  • E-Commerce Smart Filters: “Show me clothes for 30°C weather.”
  • Personalized Notifications: A brand can send a push notification: “It’s 18°C today in Lahore—perfect time for your new Karandi suit.”
  • Wardrobe Digitization: Apps can help users organize their closet by “Temperature Rating” rather than just color or category.
