Volume Engine
Technical Tool Overview: Garment Volume Estimator
The Garment Volume Estimator is a 3D logic tool. It goes beyond 1D measurements (length/width) to predict how the garment will "Float" around the user.
Functional Logic & Architecture
- The Ease Ratio Calculation: The algorithm determines the percentage of "Added Space."
- Skin-Tight (0-3%): The fabric is under tension.
- Loose (15%+): The fabric relies on its own weight and "Drape" to hang properly.
- Drape Multiplier Integration: The tool considers the fabric type. A 10% volume increase in Stiff Denim looks much larger than a 10% increase in Fluid Silk, because stiff fabrics "Stand away" from the body while fluid fabrics "Collapse" into the body's curves.
- Safety Thresholds: It warns designers at DIHOD Software House if a volume is too low for a "Woven" (non-stretch) fabric, which would cause the garment to rip at the back or armholes.
Features & Capabilities
- Silhouette Classification: Instantly categorizes the design into industry-standard fits (Bodycon, Tailored, Relaxed, Oversized).
- Fabric-Aware Feedback: Adjusts the advice based on whether the material is stiff, fluid, or stretchy.
- Technical Spec Generation: Provides the exact percentage of ease, which can be used in "Tech Packs" for factory production to ensure every size in the range maintains the same "Look."
Industry Use Cases
- Virtual Sampling: Helps designers visualize the "Fit" of a digital garment before sewing a physical prototype.
- Quality Control: Ensures that "Slim Fit" shirts across different vendors actually have the same internal volume.
- E-Commerce "Feel" Descriptions: Allows brands like Rangeen Jora to tell customers exactly how a dress will feel (e.g., "This dress has an 8% tailored ease for a sharp professional look").
