Dress Fit Predictor
Multi-point body analysis for flawless draping.

*Logic: Prioritizing the largest measurement to ensure zero fabric stress.
Technical Tool Overview: Dress Fit Predictor
The Dress Fit Predictor is a multi-dimensional analysis tool. Unlike separate tops or bottoms, a dress is a “Fixed Ratio” garment. If a userβs body ratio doesn’t match the garment’s pre-defined grading, the tool must decide which body part takes priority to avoid a total fit failure.
Functional Logic & Architecture
- The Largest-Point Priority: The core algorithm uses a “Safe-Fit” logic. It scans the size table for the first size that accommodates the largest of the three measurements. For example, if a user has a “Small” waist but “Large” hips, the tool will recommend a “Large” to ensure the dress can physically be pulled on.
- Silhouette Offsets: The
dStyleinput modifies the “Confidence Meter”:- Bodycon: Expects a high correlation between body and fabric.
- Fit & Flare: Allows for more variance in the hip measurement (as the skirt flares out).
- Shift: Prioritizes the bust and shoulders almost exclusively.
- Proportion Warning: The tool checks for “Outlier” measurements (e.g., a very small waist with a very large bust) and provides feedback on whether tailoring might be necessary.
Features & Capabilities
- Tri-Point Measurement Sync: Simultaneously validates Bust, Waist, and Hip measurements against the manufacturer’s grading scale.
- Confidence Meter: A visual indicator that tells the user how well their specific proportions match the “Idealized” size chart of the brand.
- Dynamic Style Guidance: Tailors the recommendation based on how the dress is intended to hang (e.g., loose vs. tight).
Industry Use Cases
- High-End E-Commerce: For DIHOD Software House fashion clients, this tool is vital for reducing returns on expensive, non-stretch formal dresses.
- Virtual Fitting Rooms: Can serve as the backend logic for 2D or 3D visualizers where the garment is “morphed” onto a user’s avatar.
- Personalized Marketing: As a part of the Creshy platform, it allows users to save their “Fit Profile,” which can be used to recommend specific dress styles (A-line, Wrap, or Sheath) that best suit their body shape.
