Skirt Fit Predictor
Find your perfect waist-to-hip silhouette.
Technical Tool Overview: Skirt Fit Predictor
The Skirt Fit Predictor addresses the geometric challenge of the female lower body. Unlike trousers, where the “Rise” connects two separate legs, a skirt is a continuous “tube” or “cone” that must be supported by the narrowest point of the torso.
Functional Logic & Architecture
- Silhouette-Specific Prioritization: The algorithm switches its “Primary Key” based on the
sTypeselected:- Pencil Skirts: Prioritizes the Hip measurement. If the hip is too small, the fabric will “smile” (create horizontal stress lines).
- A-Line/Maxi Skirts: Prioritizes the Waist measurement. Since the hips are free-flowing, the waist is the only point of contact that determines the size.
- The Curvature Analysis: The tool calculates the
hip - waistdelta. A standard industry delta is 10 inches. If the user’s delta is significantly higher (e.g., 13+ inches), the tool suggests A-line silhouettes to avoid “waist-gapping” in pencil skirts.
Features & Capabilities
- Conditional Result Logic: The size recommendation changes not just based on measurements, but on how those measurements interact with specific garment shapes.
- Proportion-Based Advice: Provides tailoring tips, such as suggesting A-line cuts for “High-Curve” body types to ensure comfort.
- Premium Visuals: Uses a brand-appropriate color palette (pink/slate) that fits the “Fashion-Tech” aesthetic of Creshy.
Industry Use Cases
- Interactive E-Commerce: For DIHOD Software House apparel clients, this can be integrated into “Size Finder” buttons to reduce the decision-making time for customers.
- Virtual Stylist: Can be used as a “Body Type” identifier to suggest the most flattering skirt silhouettes for a user’s specific measurements.
- Pattern Grading: Designers can use the “Curvature Analysis” data to see if their standard patterns need a “Curvy” line (more room in the hip, less in the waist).
