Answer these clinical questions to assess your relative risk of a stroke.
What is a Stroke?
A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. At DIHOD Software House, we’ve developed this logic for Creshy Tools to help users in Karachi understand that many stroke risk factors are manageable through lifestyle changes.
The F.A.S.T. Warning Signs
If you suspect someone is having a stroke, remember the F.A.S.T. acronym:
F – Face Drooping
Does one side of the face droop or is it numb? Ask the person to smile.
A – Arm Weakness
Is one arm weak or numb? Ask the person to raise both arms.
S – Speech Difficulty
Is speech slurred? Is the person unable to speak or hard to understand?
T – Time to Call Help
If someone shows any of these symptoms, call emergency services in Karachi immediately.
Managing Your Risk
- Control Blood Pressure: High BP is the #1 cause of strokes. Check it regularly if you’re under pressure at Creshy Group.
- Healthy Diet: Reducing salt intake can significantly lower blood pressure and stroke risk.
- Stay Active: Even 30 minutes of brisk walking in a park in DHA can improve your vascular health.
